It is often believed that the fossil record is the strongest peice of evidence supporting the idea that the various forms of life on Earth came about by chance and natural selection, and yet Darwin himself said in his Origin of Species that the evidence found in the fossil record provides "the most obvious and gravest objection which can be urged against my theory."  It appears that this is even more true today.  Come and see why...
