Randy Raggio is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at the Robins School of Business at the University of Richmond, where he teaches in the undergraduate, MBA and executive education programs. His primary research areas are branding and brand equity, brand authenticity and the place of gratitude in marketing. His work has been published in Harvard Business Review, Journal of Brand Management, Journal of Public Policy and Marketing, Journal of Product and Brand Management, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, European Journal of Marketing and other outlets. His research has been featured on Fortune.com, CNNMoney.com, NBCNews.com and in Businessweek. Prior to entering academia, Randy was the marketing director for Kidpower, the toy company that marketed products such as the Funnoodle (the long foam swimming pool "noodles"). He produced more than 13 commercials that aired on national cable TV and appeared on QVC three times. He keeps his skills sharp through consulting engagements for consumer products companies. Randy received his Ph.D. in marketing from The Ohio State University. Previously he was Assistant Professor of Marketing at LSU in Baton Rouge, LA and Director of the Jack C. Massey Graduate School of Business and Instructor of Business at Belmont University in Nashville, TN.
